    anticipate的基本意思有二。一是“预先处理”,可指在规定的时间或适当的次序之前先行、先付、先用,常含有“不必要地、不适当地”等意味; 也指抢在某计划或某行动执行之前采取措施阻止其实现; 还可指如先知者那样先知先行。二是“预感”“期望”,即在事先预见或预知某事的存在或将发生。这种预感或期望一定是在事先曾遭受或体味到的,或者事后实现了的,除此之外的预感(如通过推理而预知者)不可使用本词。 anticipate是及物动词,一般接名词、动名词和名词从句作宾语,可用于被动结构。
